Playing with Patterns!
Hello beautiful people I’m back again with updates on your Bruins and of course Cori’s Closet! The Bruins came together as they took on UC Riverside and Sacramento State, resulting in a 2-0 weekend! I just love it when we play in harmony! Let’s keep this winning streak going. Ok, now for Coach Cori’s wardrobe, these past two games we decided to have some fun with patterns! See how I incorporated some spunk into Coach’s wardrobe, while keeping it simple and stylish at the same time.
Vs. UC Riverside
Meow! For UCR’S outfit we decided to go with a bold gray, black, and white leopard print jacket as the base. This was Coach’s daring pick, and might I say it was a splendid one. Under the jacket she wore a purple blouse paired with your basic black slacks and a simple black heel. For accessories we went for a jeweled necklace that sat pleasantly on her upper neck area, and subtle earrings that dangle through her hair.
The hint of purple that peeked under the buttoned up jacket, added an extra flare to the entire look!
For those of you who were at the game may have noticed that in the first half coach wore the purple blouse by itself, and during the second half she put on the jacket. Well, by adding a jeweled necklace this gave coach the freedom to take off her jacket if she became too hot or felt too constrained. My goal is to always make Coach feel as comfortable as possible! The necklace dressed up the simple blouse; it was as if she had two outfits in one!
Vs. Sacramento State
For this game day outfit we wanted to take into consideration that coach would be coaching barefoot. Thus, we made sure that her pants didn’t drag on the floor, her collecting dust while coaching is the last thing we wanted to see!
We went with dark navy blue skinny pants with a matching vest as the base of her outfit. Under the vest I choose a blouse with a deep scoop neck line that consisted of colorful patchy patterns.
The simplicity of the vest and pants encouraged me to pick a busy blouse and gave me leeway to take a risk. The vest hugged coach’s figure pleasantly, and the skinny pants complemented and balanced out the blouse, that was exceedingly lengthy.
For accessories we went with a neckpiece that entailed a variety of chains. We then added bangles on each wrist to add a touch of twinkle!

Plain Jane to Classy!
Hello beautiful people! I’m back again with the details of Coach Cori’s outfits. Of course we can’t begin without our quick recap of these past two games. The Bruin’s went 1 and 1 with a loss to Nebraska, but came back with a win vs. Cincinnati, not the best, but hey I’ll take it! So many great things to come with these Bru Babes! Let’s now look into how I spiced up Coach’s looks from this past week. I have a bit of a surprise with one of Coach’s outfits, for all you Olivia Pope fans and Scandal lovers; Coach flaunts her figure in a special blouse from the Scandal line at the online store “The Limited." Stay tuned and get the exclusive break down below!
Outfit vs. Nebraska
Ok, this is one of my top favorite looks thus far. Coach Cori wore a black pin stripe suit with a well-tailored white collared shirt, topped with a beautiful statement neck piece. Although, this was a very simple outfit, this was a great look for Coach! It fit her like a glove and was perfect for her body shape. The suit jacket had a slight flare at the waist line giving Coach Cori that clean crisp figure shape.
Accessories: With your traditional black suit and white collared shirt, the bold necklace added a dazzling touch. It took the outfit from plain Jane to strikingly classy. Because of the statement necklace, and the pin stripe detail in the suit, I wanted to keep the rest of the accessories toned down. Although subtle, the watch and earrings completed the entire look!
-bold neck piece which consisted of clear and gray diamond geometric shapes
-basic black arm band watch
Outfit vs. Cincinnati
Ok now for the surprise piece: The Pope Blouse. We decided to go with the black beautifully detailed flared blouse paired with a simple gray slack and a black heel. From the neckline to the waistline down, to the silver horizontal buttons, this blouse was a very appealing look for Coach. One thing that has been consistent with what looks pleasing on Cori is attire that compliments her waist line, and this blouse did her justice! Without that flare look this outfit could have easily appeared plain Jane!
Accessories: I refrained from giving Coach a necklace, because it would have taken away from the blouse.
The combination of a necklace and two loud arm pieces would have been distracting. Also, I’m getting a feeling that Coach really loves arm candy and this was the perfect blouse to play with arm accessories.
-silver spirals earrings
-thick silver watch
