Outside of class and basketball, what interesting activities do you do?
I love traveling and exploring things. I also go to the beach, go shopping, and just hang out with friends. In addition to English, what other languages do you speak? I'm fluent in Swedish and speak a little bit of Spanish. If you were to be featured in a magazine, what magazine would you want it to be? A basketball related article in Cosmopolitan. Do you currently have a pet? Have you in the past, if so what kind? I had a rabbit when I was little. It was so calm and looked like a stuffed animal. What makes you love UCLA Women’s Basketball? I love the professional way of how they handle every aspect of life and combine that with basketball. I really get to be a woman on/off the court even if basketball is the priority. If you had to pitch one story about yourself to a newspaper that doesn’t involve basketball, what would the topic be about? The journey of challenging yourself and sacrificing important things in order to achieve your dream. Are you obsessed with anything? I'm obsessed with chocolate. If you could have chocolate ice cream with dark chocolate ice cream, with some brownies and fudge, I would love that! What is another sport you enjoy playing besides basketball? Beach volleyball and badminton is fun to play. If you could be invisible for a day what would do? Mess with people and move around their stuff just to see their reaction, like have them see flying food. |
What is your nickname? How did you get it and who gave it to you?
The one people use the most is Pau. People in Sweden also call me Pausan or Palle. If you could live in any city or country, where would it be? I want to live in different countries, like Spain, France and Thailand. Is there a significance to your jersey number? I have always been #12 but I couldn't have that here so I went for the double, #24, in hopes of getting twice as good. Who are the role models in your life and why? I really admire my parents, but I can get inspired from a lot of different people just by the small things they do. What is one thing people don’t know about you but you wish they did? To be genuine is a characteristic I really value in other people as well as myself. What is your hidden talent? I can play the piano. Who or what inspired you to play basketball and why? My dad played and inspired me to play. I also got to be with the senior national team for a day when I was only 13 years old, which really inspired me. Name something trendy or a fad that you took part of that was a mistake? I was matching all my clothes in the same color. It was pretty bad, especially when it happened to be pink. Do you have a favorite or inspiring quote you like/use for your personal motto? "Things turn out the best for people who make the best of the way things turn out." - John Wooden |
